10 Fall 2023 Fashion Trends You’ll Love to Wear

Just when the most popular summer fashion trends started to lose their appeal (we’re looking at you, rosettes!), the trends for fall 2023 have arrived to give our style a refreshing makeover. This season, the fashion vibe is all about what’s been coined as “quiet luxury” – think high-quality essentials for your wardrobe that exude understated elegance without screaming for attention. While that’s not entirely off the mark (we did see plenty of trench coats paired with jeans), it’s only part of the story.

What really stole the spotlight on this season’s runways was the dominance of one color: a luscious and deep red, making appearances in almost every fashion show. Much of the styling took a minimalist approach, offering elevated versions of wardrobe staples like casual black leggings, classic white T-shirts, essential fall coats, and cozy sweaters, all put together in clean and refined outfits suitable for work. If you consult any designer, they’ll all echo the same sentiment: red is the color of fall 2023. In contrast to the usual subdued earthy hues we associate with autumn, this season’s red is bold and captivating, effortlessly taking center stage in any room or social media feed. Whether you prefer Wiederhoeft’s striking vermillion, Tory Burch’s vibrant tomato shade, or Ferragamo’s deep garnet, assembling a tonal ensemble that begins with a pair of red flats is the simplest and most effective way to make a fashion statement this season.

This autumn, the fashion landscape is all about reimagined workplace essentials: think secretary skirts with visible underwear, courtesy of Miu Miu, or extra-long pussy-bow blouses from Givenchy. Chances are, you already have everything you need to embrace this trend, but there’s no harm in adding a new blazer or a fresh pair of fall shoes to your collection.

(On the flip side, Prada and Luar encourage a bit of chest exposure, disregarding the chilly breeze.) If we adhere to traditional styling rules, navy and black are considered a no-go combination. However, some of the most captivating fall runway displays defied this convention and expertly blended these two hues for striking results. This season, we witnessed a plethora of runway displays featuring prints that are truly collector-worthy. Stella McCartney showcased luxurious designs featuring horses, while Loewe’s creations adorned dresses with images of other dresses. Paco Rabanne drew inspiration from Dalí’s body of work, and Puppets and Puppets incorporated enlarged images from a Gaspare Traversi painting. It’s evident that art has deeply influenced the world of fashion this season, so why not embrace this trend with these remarkable printed selections?

10. Gothic Love:

As the nights grow longer, it’s the perfect time to embrace your inner witchy vibes. Rodarte set the tone for fashion month with a mesmerizing show, featuring models exuding the aura of a vampiric coven, dressed in exquisite black velvet and lace. This gothic glamour trend continued with blood-red ribbons at Simone Rocha, Adeam’s Wednesday Addams-inspired styling, and Versace’s alluring sheer corsetry.
